Pandora pauses randomly? I think it's a bug with their Android client. I have the same problem -- it even happens on my home WiFi! When I use my desktop or laptop systems (website or AIR app) it's fine. |

Pandora pauses randomly? @Joe: They don't need to, a store could simply use femtocells to make sure that the signal is very strong in their store and able to handle the load of a concentration of phones (for both display models and customer's phones). It'd be a pretty underhanded thing for them to do if the area's signal was otherwise poor though. |

Moto Droid v1 disabling primary Wireless AP My wife's Droid 1 has problems connecting to our AP too. Sleep Policy is set to "Never", but that hasn't helped. Happens on all of the stock ROMs, CyanogenMod, and Sapphire. |

Is it normal for Android System to be the top battery user? Those seem to be awfully high numbers for Cell Standby and Phone Idle too -- what's your signal strength like? Being in an area with poor reception can cause your radios to use a lot of extra power. |

Why are some songs are not named correctly in media players? It's not that strange once you start to see the mishmash of different tagging pseudo standards. Between ID3v1, ID3v1.1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, and APEv2 it's bad enough. Then you have the differences between how different players use those tagging standards to store information. Add in the various tag parsing, writing, and codepage bugs and hacks in different players over the years, and it's amazing that any info can be passed between programs at all. |

Does the HTC Droid Incredible Ship with Android 2.2 (Froyo)? 2.2 has been out long enough, and the device is popular enough, that any new Incredible that the OP orders is going to ship with 2.2. In fact, I think that all SLCD Incredibles (which the OP will get) are 2.2. |

Is a Class 10 MicroSD overkill or is a Class 6 adequate? This, of course, assumes that the phone can actually take advantage of the additional performance. Other bits (controller, CPU, etc.) might end up becoming bottlenecks or reduce the utility of a Class 10 card. It might be more useful for the OP to get a larger card instead of a faster one. |

What are some Facebook contact integration alternatives? Bonus: If you have contacts that aren't linked (most probable cause: name differences), if you edit the contact and tap the menu icon, there's probably going to be a "Join" item that lets you manually select the Facebook contact. |

How do I unroot my Evo (using unrevoked 3.21) The RUU is basically a nice, executable version of step 2. The OP will need to flash S-ON first, then either flash the RUU or the ROM extracted from it. |

What's the best Android device for photography? The only semi-useful advice I can give you is that, once upon a time, Sony tried turning a camera into a cellphone. So instead of the camera being an afterthought, the phone part was. IIRC, it faired reasonably well against other P&S cameras, but wasn't all that great at being a phone. I don't remember any model #s for you though. |

What's the best Android device for photography? As you already know, right now sensor size is going to be one of the largest driving factors towards image quality over pretty much everything else, especially when it comes into high-ISO and low-light performance. You probably already know that DSLRs are significantly better than any P&S, and that most P&S are significantly better than even the best cell phones. Until there's a major shift in camera technology, your first list is a wish list for pretty much every photog, in any form factor. You'll have better luck riding a unicorn to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. |

How can I boost the volume on my Droid's speaker? I've gotta ask: Why? The speaker on my wife's Droid is LOUD when it's turned up all the way. Beyond that, I haven't seen anything myself that does what you're looking for -- sorry I can't actually help. |
