Why does rooting the Android voids it's warranty? Voting to close. -- We can speculate all day about why or propose coulda/shoulda/woulda, but it is the manufacturer's choice to offer whatever coverage they choose to (including none at all), and under what conditions. That's part of what you're paying for when you buy the product and it's stated up front, at least by any even slightly reputable business. It's no different than whether they include a camera or not, telephone support or not, etc. There is no objective answer; it's just someone's business decision. |

Bad ROM flash - Kindle Fire stuck in boot @eldarerathis: Thank you! That appears to have been exactly right - it's running now. Please make this an answer so I can accept it. But now I'm curious about its boot behavior - during boot up, the "kindle fire" splash screen blinks out briefly - twice - during boot, during the time before the "fire" animation begins. It doesn't seem to be an issue but I don't remember that happening before I messed with it. |

Will my Kindle Fire still work the same with GO Launcher? Yes, it looks exactly as it did/would have without the 3rd-party launcher. Indeed, at that point, the 3rd-party launcher isn't in use. |
