I have been a developer since 2002, starting in High School with VB6, Java and HTML; graduating college with a degree in Computer Science.
My work now involves desktop application development, architecture design and doing my best to stay on top of good practices and philosophies.
My range of technologies are from C/C++ and Java to Python and PHP. Recently I have delved into .NET and C#, with some Android development in my spare time.
I learn as much as I can from wherever I can, as such I am an early adopter, a technology enthusiast, and an update-oholic.

Can I limit Kindle purchases to only 1 device on my account? You can always just not download the items (or remove them if they were automatically downloaded) on specific devices. |

For updating an Android OS which one is better amongst the, official Update and Custom ROM update What phone are you using? I didn't see a mention in your question, and phones have different ways of rooting them. |

How do I get rid of the “shut the screen off” animation on Droid 4? I don't think they went with that much granularity. |

Stolen phone: is changing your GMail password enough? You should also look into setting up 2-factor authentication. With this you control what accesses your Google accounts (computers, devices, websites) and can revoke access with a click of a link. support.google.com/accounts/bin/… |

Apply manual update on Xoom without an OTG cable From what I have read, the Xoom will not update from a update.zip file from an SD card/internal storage. Without the cable you will have to wait for an OTA update. |

is Android single task or multitasking and multithreading? I assume it is just the YouTube application. Google Music (and nearly every other music app I have tried) will continue to play if apps are switched, or even if the screen is turned off (YouTube stops if the screen is off as well). |

Multiple gmails in Android phone? Did you make an app-specific password within your 2 verification system for gmail, and use that as a password? That is how I have mine setup. Look here: support.google.com/accounts/bin/… |

How can I detect Malware and/or viruses? I wouldn't say you are being overcautious. You are getting a pre-owned rooted device. The amount of things that leaves open, if the previous owner was malicious, is astonishing. |
