comment Add calendar event via freeform text w/documented, unambiguous syntax?
Ugh. I'm not a fan of voice input, and recoil against anything that uses "natural language". I hate ambiguity. To me, things like "Google Now" feel like a warped, real-life 80s text adventure game where you're forced to play "try to outsmart the parser", and attempts to be explicit end up confusing the parser completely.

comment Add calendar event from QR-encoded vcard
Flawless solution. QR Droid worked perfectly & painlessly on the first try with the same QR codes that the two apps I tried yesterday choked on. :-)

comment Add rotation toggle to powerbutton menu?
Hmmm. I was afraid of that. If anybody happens to know, is the code that governs the power-button menu behavior kernel-level, Touchwiz-level, or merely a normal app with source that's not intended to be user-modified, but can be trivially hacked and extended anyway as long as the phone is rooted & the partition can be mounted +rw?

comment Hack ICS browser to restore “menu button exposes URL field”
Hmmm... I've been over those settings quite a few times, and don't recall seeing any that affected the way the URL field gets summoned into view. Is there any particular one I might have overlooked, or maybe one that ended up getting compiled out by Samsung? Before you mentioned Touchwiz, it hadn't even occurred to me that the stock browser might have been heavily-modified by Samsung.
