Linux and open source enthusiast. Started programming at the age of 12, ditched Windows for Linux about a year later.

I don't think it can be done, as a chrooted system is in some kind of jail, where it doesn't have access to your hardware (unless you mount the devices, probably). I always use Xnest for that purpose, but I doubt whether it's available for Android.

Just thinking out loud here; but wouldn't you be able to connect your phone to a Linux computer, and mount the /system partition from there?
