Update: Sadly, Current Widget no longer provides current information on my Moto X after upgrading to Lollipop; the last update to the app was February '14.

You should also know that hiding the SSID is a little bit like taking the numbers off your mailbox -- the network is still there, and can be seen with basic WiFi sniffing tools. Make sure you configure your hotspot to use a secure connection type with a password, even if you hide the SSDI.
