Have I completely lost my IMEI? This is what I suspected after quite a bit of searching. I've since decided to just live with it, as it's mostly not a problem. The main time it causes trouble is if someone reports a phone using it as stolen, which has happened to me twice since I first lost the IMEI, but not recently. It's also troublesome for apps that use it as an identifier, but in one case it's worked to my advantage. |

Have I completely lost my IMEI? Also, it appears that the /dev/pttycmd1 device doesn't exist on the i777. |

Have I completely lost my IMEI? All but the video showing to echo AT+EGMR=<imeistuffhere>, but I can't find anything about that for US phones (the video and everything else I see is referring to multi-IMEI devices, and there are two parameters that I'd like to know the meaning of before I try this on my phone). |

Why are apps logging me in as someone else? Ah, yes. I do have the "generic" IMEI. I believe it happened when I got a warranty replacement device, as shortly after I was temporarily suspended because my device was supposedly stolen. I'm guessing I should look to fix that. I found an XDA thread about Docomo-modified devices, but is there something relevant to the general AT&T i777? |

How can I tell CWM to perform a full backup instead of an incremental backup? Koush (the writer of CWM) described it on his Google+ account. |

How can I tell CWM to perform a full backup instead of an incremental backup? Yeah, from what I understand, the "freeing space" is deleting no longer used blobs from deleted backups. The downside is that you can no longer move off entire backups, though (the dated folder doesn't actually contain any backup, just pointers to the blobs). |

Google Voice Number Displayed on Phone? Also, the issue is that to make a call appear as if it's coming from your GV number, you're technically calling a Google number set up to transfer the call (You -> Google -> Other Person)...so the number you're seeing isn't a random number, it's one of Google's numbers set up to forward calls on. It appears that the S3 dialer (maybe it's an ICS thing?) isn't storing the destination number, but rather the one that was technically dialed by GV. |

Google Voice Number Displayed on Phone? Well, if you're not sure if you're rooted, it's extremely unlikely you are (unless you bought it second-hand and it was rooted already, you have to deliberately do something to root your device). XDA Developers (the first link in my answer) is a good source of a lot of things, and you may track down a phone.apk there, but as you're not really familiar with all this stuff, I wouldn't advise it right now. I'd say the same for a custom ROM. That said, if you're technologically inclined, there is a lot you can do if you're willing to tinker. |
