comment Everything Disappears After Reboot
Hard to say. The final state indeed indicates a factory-reset having taken place (if "redo everything" means you've had to setup your Google account etc. again) – but the reason for that is not clear. The process in between describes a so-called boot-loop, which strangely seems to having solved itself (by a factory-reset?) – I've never heard such a thing, and have no idea how you could have triggered that.

I've just edited the question for you and integrated the facts collected in the comments above. With no custom recovery, and no backup of the modified file, I'm afraid all that's left to you is to re-flash your device. Hopefully you can find a ROM on the manufacturers site. Alternatively, check Where can I find stock or custom ROMs for my Android device? Installation instructions are usually found along the download. Sorry, but I'm afraid there's not more that I can do for you.

Not sure I can (I don't know that device). But could you please edit your question to also include the Android version running, and whether you have a custom recovery installed? These facts are needed to chose the right approach.

If you don't have the backup, that might leave you with the option to flash a ROM. Or, with some luck, to try reverting your changes via ADB.

comment Game won't update: difference between Play Store and manual Install ? (Plants vs Zombies 2)
If your device isn't rooted, but runs Android 4.0 or higher, there's also Helium Backup you could use to backup (and later restore) the app and its data. By default, Helium only backs up data – so if you do that, then uninstall the app, re-install it from Play, in a final step you might be able to simply restore the data and be done.
