comment Cyanogenmod without google apps
@HasH_BrowN Stop waiting, go reading. Then maybe wait again for the next update ;) In short: Not much missing, basically only Google Cloud Messaging for notifications in the SE app ;)

comment how to keep the time on screen
@RossC if so: the "notification area" wasn't just added with Kitkat. Just checking my device with the "oldest Android version": ICS has the time in there as well (not just in the bar, but also in the "opened area"). Also note: on tablets, it often is not at the top, but at the bottom-right corner ;)

comment Where do I get Android L iso for x86 environment?
I'm not talking about the RAM you assign to the VM, but about the emulator in general: regardless of how much RAM you assing the VM, other emulators performing way better AFAIK ;)

Concerning the "why": speed/performance would be a good reason. The SDK emulator is not known to be brilliant in that context ;) Apart from that: valid solution :)

Restoring the complete phone on a different device won't work (hardware specifics). But as for user apps+data plus system data, see matega's answer and my comment on it.

Confirmed: ADB backups of user apps should be restore-able across devices. To ease a "transfer" was one of the reasons I'm working on Adebar currently (had to send one of my devices to repair, so I transferred everything needed to another). Should also do for emulator.

comment Enable and disable system apps via ADB
Theoretically yes I guess; but I've got no idea how to do that. There are some "apps" on the stores which do appear nowhere when installed (as they e.g. only provide additional settings in some other apps, or offer some "invisible services" like "account managers" for specific services), which proves it should work somehow; but I'm afraid that's to be done in the app's Manifest or the like (I'm no Android dev, so I cannot tell).

I've just added the insufficient-memory tag to your question. Please check its tag-wiki, which should get you started (contains some first-aid plus links to more details).

@androiddeveloper No. Hiding the app completely, including from the UI, is the entire idea behind it.
