comment how to change the default download folder on android pad
@AlEverett Something like an iTablet running Android :) Downloads always end up in /sdcard/Downloads with most apps (to be honest, I know of no exception yet). Daniel wants to customize that.

comment How do I actualize the visible files in File Explorer on Windows browsing SDCard of Sony Xperia Ray?
"Connected via USB" is still a bit unspecific. Does it use USB Mass Storage? In that case, it's no longer accessible on your Android device. Done via MTP, it might require a refresh (F5) in Windows Explorer to tell it something has changed. If Explorer caches the remote directory, it might be stupid enough to stick to that cache even after a re-connect; a refresh should do the job in that case as well. Otherwise remember the message: "You moved your mouse pointer. Please reboot for the change to take effect."

How does the topic match your post? What are you trying to delete/modify? Can you give an example path? You won't be able to touch the /cache this way, as it's not exposed to the computer. And maybe you are dealing with different locations (internal versus external SD card)?

comment Specific about installing Cyanogenmod using Mac OS X
On the link you mention, they write there are issues with the 1.4.0 MacOS version. You might rather head to their GitHub downloads, where you can find the 1.3.2 suite (which I guess is complete with backend and frontend) as .dmg file. I neither use MacOS nor an SGS4, so I cannot say for sure.

comment Low phone storage with Motorola Triumph
I've just added the insufficient-memory tag to your question. Please follow up to its tag-wiki, where you will find some first aid. If this solves your issue, or you're through all of the hints given and still have the problem, please edit your question and update it with what you've tried and what the results have been.

The "2 more" most likely include Latitude, which was removed from Maps and instead (partly) integrated with Google+ now

comment rooting gt19100
And we have a fine rooting index you can look up. Please check if one of the two possibilities listed there for the S2 work for you, and let us know. If none of them work, let us know as well (don't forget to include why they don't), and we see if/how we can help you further.

Sorry, but do you know how many apps had to be checked there? I could even name some who do behave like that (with good intention). But the answer would result in a long list (which is not how this site works). If your device is rooted, I could give you some starter to catch that app. Let me see, some basic stuff I've got in mind could help you out even if not rooted. I'll try to sum up an answer.

comment App held for ransom by Android. Can not uninstall: Privilege denied
Are you speaking of this app? AppBrain lists it as possible spam/malware (searching for the app name there, you'll see it's "masked" in the result set). Though the permissions shown don't indicate it: Have you checked whether the app might have registered with the "device manager"? If so, you'd need to first unlist it there.
