comment adb backup command on non-rooted device creates an empty backup file?
Good to have this, so thanks for sharing – but it's a work-around at best (not a "solution"). Sometimes one needs to have the backups without password encryption (e.g. to convert the .ab file to a .tar for investigation).

comment Phone storage low on my LG-L38C
Thanks, @SuperThomasLab (just approved that edit with a minor correction, so it becomes visible immediately). Still, Darla has to check with the tag-wiki first (standard issue) – and we don't know how that storage is divided (except for the SD card). I doubt the 763MB available refer to internal storage, as that shouldn't trigger the insufficient-memory error then.

comment Google Play Services update error
OK. Check again when your issue happens the next time. I bet it then already has updated itself – so your issue would be "how to get rid of those useless notifications". Please verify, and then edit your question accordingly (also include the Android version running on your device then).

comment Google Play Services update error
Yes, that's what I meant. Didn't check for play services there yet as I had no need, but neither did I get any update notifications for it: that app just updates itself without asking me – which is why I suggested checking the version numbers (in Settings › Apps › All).

comment Google Play Services update error
I see this quite often. In my case, it always helped to 1) switch back to the list of your apps, then 2) tap the app to update again (in very rare cases, repeat 1+2 again). This usually makes the "Open" button turn into "Update". Does that work for you? On the other hand, if just this app is affected: it usually auto-updates itself, so it might be you're just not fast enough :) Check which version is installed now, and then check again after the next update pops in (updates are quite frequent here).

comment Android showing battery at 100% even when left for straight 10 hours in night
@AndrewT. 100% after 10h on battery is pretty unlikely, even for a "naked" system (no user-apps installed, not initiated at all) running in airplane mode -- especially when taking a look at the device specs: a 1,600mAh battery makes me very much doubt that, unless the device is switched off altogether ;)

comment How to protect my files from the Mobile repairers?
Welcome to Android.SE! Your question is a bit unclear: what "mobile service person" are you talking about? Are you talking about repair service? // Please also take a look into our privacy tag-wiki, which probably already holds the information you want. If my above guess was correct: I have sold my phone on eBay. What should I do before I send it off? / What's the most complete way to erase all the data from my phone so it cannot be recovered?

comment list of which kernel version comes in each Android AOSP version
Not here. That's rather a topic targeted at developers (and not really relevant to end-users), while this site is dedicated to end-users and counts development questions as off-topic, sorry.

comment Port LG G4 stock apps to LG Leon?
@user118497 Your question rather goes towards development (off-topic here) and discussion (off-topic on all SE – SE sites are Q&A sites, not a forum). A much better place would probably be the appropriate device section at XDA developers, which serves both ends: it's a forum for developers, and open for discussions ;)

comment Widget to toggle “OK Google” detection always on/off
@IvanDokov, have you checked the second half of my answer? AutoVoice can do that. I've ended up with a widget to toggle "Continuous Mode" on/off. Isn't that what you've asked for? Check out my collection of Tasker resources, which a.o. also holds a section with "AutoVoice Tutorials".

comment How to view the files from /root/data folder?
@BlueRaja-DannyPflughoeft it is, yes. And your case is the first exception I've heard of. And I'm in that field for quite a while. // So with your device being the only one (so far) not falling under the general rule valid for all the other millions of Android devices, you'd certainly agree this is an exception – not invalidating the "general rule", unless proven by more than one device of different brands :)

comment Accidently deleted the device calender? Can I recover or add new?
@lord-ralf-adolf Yes, and a system app. So how likely is that? And then what should the "phone's default calendar app" be the OP is still using? I bet there's another way to restore the "device calendar" (maybe clearing cache+data from "calendar provider", after having backed up all calendar entries?), but I've never been in that situation – and while a factory-reset would definitely cure that, it's probably not what one prefers :)
