comment Lollipop 5.1 doesn't automatically connect to wi-fi
That hasn't a single thing to do with captive portals. Have you read more than just the title of the question? ;) It's not about keeping the connection active (which your post would be an answer to), but about establishing it in the first place without requiring user interaction.

That's quite a collection of questions. Please check 1) our locked-out tag-wiki 2) our broken-screen tag-wiki 3) our data-recovery tag-wiki. All of them hold some first-aid. See how this helps you, and then return to answer your own question when solved or edit it with what you tried and where you're stuck. Good luck!

If you could put a little formatting in your post we might be able to figure what you're asking but without punctuation it's hard of course the phone shuts down when you take our the battery and it's not a good idea to take out the battery when charging so what are you asking? (,,,,,.... <- please insert where missing)

comment ADB backup creates 0-byte file; prompts for current backup password even though I never set one; “Failed to set password” for Desktop backup password
I've had several issues with ADB on one of my tablets (rooted or not, in both cases) which were similar (just the other way around: while adb backup worked fine, adb restore always failed). Turned out it was a permission problem (manufacturer had messed up with the ROM), so adb restore was unable to read the backup file once it was transfered to the device. Was a bit tricky to find, and I'm not sure if something similar really is the case here; but it might be worth checking.

,,,,,.... <- please insert where missing. And while you edit your post, a few more details might help us figuring what's going on: How did you download the file? Where you using the playstore app, or are you trying so side-load an app? Are there any error messages shown?

Have you seen our google-play-store tag-wiki with its list of error messages? There's a link for at least two of yours: Downloading from Play Store gives error 491 and Can't I install or update Apps from Play Store: Error 905 . How to fix? As for the space issue, please take a look at our insufficient-memory tag-wiki.

On your Android device you go to Settings › WiFi, and long-tap on your AP's entry, selet to edit it, tick the "advanced" check-box, and verify the settings there: is it using DHCP, or a fixed address? In the latter case, does it match with your network, and has the correct gateway set? In the former case (DHCP), can you verify your IP/gateway (IP e.g. via Settings › About phone › Status) and see if it matches? Also, having the IP address: can you ping that from your computer?
