comment Stay connected to specific Wifi which has no internet
Hey Denis, this is annoying as hell. When I tell my device to stay on one connection, I expect it to respect my wishes, not play the "Me thinks me smarter than U dumb user" card.

comment Why won't Android switch between wi-fi and 3G seamlessly?
@MarijnvdZaag there are some techniques to "keep" (mind the quotes) the connection alive when switching networks, but that means using some tricks to recognize server/client even when IP changes. Read about REST, that ott-- mentioned above. But as a rule of thumb, switching IP (or gateways) means re-connectiong all the services. Some are just more seamless than others

@ott-- but the specific APP must implement REST. Not the case for the vast majority of apps as of this writing.

comment How do I defrag my Android device?
And given the amount of malicious adware apps in the Play Store these days, you should be wary of installing anything, much more these "performance apps".

@ak11234 it is already set, but I want something that blocks the app from even forwarding to the play store.

comment A Windows PC software is pushing its app onto my android devices. How can I avoid it?
@AndrewT. on second thought, maybe keeping the app out of the title is a good idea, to not sound like an attack on the app.

Avast is hijacking AUTHENTICATION info from the browser. Very nice to know. It is a good think they keep it ethical-ish (oh wait)...

@AndrewT. originally I intended to keep the software name anonymous, but since then the disucssion moved into disclose. Now I think you are right.

@GiantTree the devices were never connected to the PC in the previous of following days. And the installation notification for the antivirus app had Google play's icon.
