@AndrewT. And I don’t even have it installed as an app. If I understand correctly, the WebView should exist as a separate app on Lollipop. I don’t see it on my Nexus 7 2013.

@Chahk My device came with preinstalled apps (e.g. McAfee, and some T-mobile crapware), and a carrier logo animation on device boot. I'm not sure that those would be cleared with a factory restore. It's for that reason I'm thinking about a complete reinstall. I would like to get rid of all that preinstalled and carrier-specific stuff, and get a clean Android install.
