Can I use Android Emulator to get the Free apps from Amazon's app store? @Bryan There seems to be a trend of the emulator getting slower with each version (presumably it has more work to do as the platform becomes more complex). The 1.5 emulator is quite speedy, 1.6 is noticeably slower, 2.2 is slower still and 2.3 crawls on my less-than-recent machine. Haven't tried Honeycomb yet. |

How does my android phone load lower quality versions of pictures on the web? Are you using the default browser or Opera? Opera uses Opera Turbo which uses an intermediate server to compress the content. Or maybe it's just the lower colour depth on your screen that makes them look worse. Which phone do you have? |

Network operator selection I don't care either way about the hello/thanks argument in general but "Hi Dear" strikes me as a very odd greeting to use with people you don't know. It's the kind of greeting used by elderly women when talking to their young relatives. |
