Hi, you don't need to do factory resets. Look at the answer i accepted. Turns out you just have to clean a folder every now and then but no way to permanently free those megabytes.

This was actually it, even though the folder gets repopulated when i launch image gallery apps.

Well, turns out all Sony's apps are stored in the phone memory and alltogether are responsible for something like 4mb total. It must be something else...

Even if that is the case I find it kind of hard for Sony's apps to cover one whole gigabyte...

@Cerberus: wouldn't the os be in the phone memory? I can see 3 different memories (?) here. They are: phone memory(700mb), internal storage and my sd card. Shouldn't the first one be android's host?
