comment I cant use my external storage on my tablet
@Jeremy Clark Moving apps and app data to the SD card is a feature that is not available on all tablets. As Google devices (nearly) never had SD-card slots accessing the SD-card is different from device to device.

@Izzy For understanding that two tablets are involved one requires mind reading capabilities... Not sure if your interpretation is really true.

Have you formatted the SD card to FAT32 filesystem?

comment Generic version of Cyanogenmod for any Android device?
Linux and therefore Android too use a monolithic kernel that includes all the drivers. Hence extracting is not possible.

Your question sounds like you are developing your own app. If yes you are in the wrong place - post your question with some more details on stackoverflow.com.

comment How to access the internal memory if the screen is blacked out?
If there is a lock-screen this will not work on new devices because USB access (MTP, ADB) is disabled unless the phone has been unlocked.

comment Google maps road names too small. Solutions?
I am sorry but you are wrong. The latest version of Google Maps (7.7.0) does not use tile-images only. The street names in my version move while zooming which indicates that they are not part of the map image.

comment Longer disk-encryption passwords on Samsung Galaxy S5?
Are you aware that the encryption password is also your unlock password? Therefore you have to enter it every time your phone is locked. Bad design by Google IMHO.

Before considering a "re-install": have you performed a factory reset?

comment Moto G - Debugging for Android
Have you installed the Motorola Devicemanager (for the USB driver)? Also make sure the device unlocked and screen is on. My Moto G is displayed correctly in Eclipse on Windows 7.

comment USB charge in android 4.2.2
@RossC That is written in the USB standard. Before the device is initialized the maximum power the device is allowed to use is limited to 100mA. Only when a charger is detected it can use as much power as it can get.

Have you installed the USB drivers for your phone? Without the phone can only retrieve 100 mA => 0.5 Watt.

comment Passwords containing “!” are always wrong
Have you checked which char is sent to the server instead of the exclamation mark? Enter "!" at base64encode.org and look at the base64 encoded result. If it is correct "IQ==" should be the result.

comment Speed of WiFi file transfer from PC to phone
Sorry but you are totally wrong. A SD-card reader does not damage anything as long as you handle the SD-card carefully.

comment How to disable pin security from Samsing Tab 2
Under some circumstances Android forces you to have a PIN or password. This happens, e.g. if you install a custom trusted certificate. Therefore I would check Security settings and there the storage options if user certs are installed.
