OTA Gingerbread 2.3 update fails to install on DroidX (rooted stock Froyo 2.2.1 / unrooted back) Probably going to need to do the SBF then. |

OTA Gingerbread 2.3 update fails to install on DroidX (rooted stock Froyo 2.2.1 / unrooted back) @DVK Understood. My DX is on Liberty 3 right now and it's a pretty good ROM (CM is still in nightlies for DX,last I checked). |

OTA Gingerbread 2.3 update fails to install on DroidX (rooted stock Froyo 2.2.1 / unrooted back) You may need to SBF back (unroot) to stock Froyo before taking the update. Although, if you are going to do that, there are probably SBF files for Gingerbread already floating around out there that you can use instead. |

Sudden crashes and drops in battery charge Did you com back to stock from a custom ROM recently? If so I wonder if the battery stats need to be reset. |

Does encrypting the Xoom tablet use battery faster? That would be pretty wild if it is true. Thanks for the info. |

Does encrypting the Xoom tablet use battery faster? @GAThrawn I absolutely agree; more ops = more power expended. I also didn't think it would be noticeable, but it definitely is to me. I see a factory reset (the only way to un-encrypt on the Xoom) in my future. |
