How can I tell why my sleeping phone occasionally gets warm (and battery is draining abnormally)? So far I found an application called Watchdog (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zomut.watchdoglite) that monitors the phone for processes that are using resources abnormally. I'll update this question with some results after I get an idea of if it works as expected. |

How can I tell why my sleeping phone occasionally gets warm (and battery is draining abnormally)? When the problem occurs I'm usually out of my home and I need to reboot asap to prevent my battery the drain completely so it will be difficult to connect to a debug console to run the log application. |

Does the gmail app stop syncing once the “Low on space” message appears? On the Milestone with Android 2.2 I have observed that as soon as the Low Memory icon appears the phone stops to sync contacts, gmail, calandar, etc. Moreover applications installation and updates from the Market are failing. |

27 MB + 4.2 MB = 28 MB? Where'd my space go? In my phone's recovery mode there is a "wipe cache partition" option that I associated with the Dalvik cache. But I've seen other references that states that the Dalvik cache is located in /data of the main partition. So it could be different from a device to another or I misinterpreted the cache partition mentioned in the recovery mode. |

27 MB + 4.2 MB = 28 MB? Where'd my space go? I'm not too sure what relation there could be between the Dalvik cache and actual space on the internal application storage area. From what I've read the Dalvik cache uses its own partition. |

Enabling GPS flag on android preferences: what is the battery impact? I believe that it will always show the GPS icon. With Latitude enabled my phone was showing the GPS icon from time to time when a location update was triggered. |
