Empty SIM contacts list, but they still show up in contact details No, they are not. As you can see from the description I have dug into the settings but thi sseems to be a bug more than anything else. |

how to assign an app to an event? Thanks for the summary. I tried apps like Default App Manager but they do not cover NFC. |

how to assign an app to an event? In that case I will remove the other apps registered to handle the event. This is not ideal but in that specific case it will be OK. Thanks for the details. |

how to assign an app to an event? @Izzy: thanks (unfortunately my phone is not rooted). If I understand correctly the apps register themselves as "event handlers" and there is no way to edit this (similarly to how this is done in Windows or Linux). The idea being that I would edit once the hook for "NCF tag read" event, worst case until a new app is installed (which could be OK for events you have appropriate apps for and which you do not need to redefine on a regular basis) |

Switching profiles based on networks availability Thanks for the hint. Would it be able to run the scenario I described (switch on WiFi / Bluetooth - check for network presence, stay on if the network is there, otherwise switch off? And run this in a reasonable cycle so that the device (WiFi / Bluetooth) is switched off when the network disappears?) - it looks so from the description in Google Play |
