comment What is “USB storage app” under Storage of App Info?
I don't think that because you have no external SD card, you don't have and external partition on your phone. Most phones use different partitions to seperate access to different parts on the system (that's the case on my phone). They are probably just talking about "SD Card" in case you do have an external SD card. The conclusion you've made is almost the same as mine, but how you get there doesn't seem completely correct to me. But it is indeed very confusing :-)

@JohnSonderson I don't really know, but my guess would be that it is because you still need some kind of pointer to the external app part. So maybe the main class of the application remains and points to the other part of the application on the external storage. That way the internal workings of Android stay the same (they can just list all the applications on the internal file system), but some of the code is placed externally.

comment How do I disable auto-sync in HTC Sync 3.3?
Updated the link in my post. @Sammy I wouldn't want to trade for an iPhone, especially now that I've seen how bad the UI of iOS 7 is, they're going backwards instead of forwards imo. But that's a totally different discussion :-)

And did you try that app? Because maybe, it could help, and then you could answer your own question just by doing it?

Is it on specific times that you have to start recording? Otherwise I think you would be better of using an app like Tasker to schedule when it should start recording. Battery drain and out of memory will otherwise be some problems. ("Privacy" pops in my head too btw)

comment Can receive but cannot send SMS on SGS3, help me debug with logcat?
I don't completely understand the log, but I see a lot of "Mms:app" appearing. Are you sure you are sending smses and not mmses? Next to that, some general suggestions: are you sure the number of your provider is correct? Maybe you should check with your provider, maybe it is a problem on their side? Was everything working correctly before on your stock Android OS? When did you start having these problems? etcera
