Which is the quickest and safest way to uninstall stock applications? @Izzy very good point! Can't the partition size be changed accordingly on rooted phones? |

Why does the Google Authenticator app have “obsolete” in its title on Play Store? I thought you couldn't import data from other apps unless they used the same key. |

Why do I need a Gmail account to use Android? I don't understand: on the iPhone you need an Apple account "only" to download apps? Oh, cool. Are there people out there that don't ever download any app and just go with the stock ones? |

non-wipe non-unlock root for Android 2.3.3 @eldarerathis: gingerbreak worked. Unfortunately, I lost root upgrading to 2.3.6. Still, since it worked, if you post it as an answer I'll accept it. |

Better folders, which support drag & drop: is that even possible? @offby1: uh? Even Android 2 allows drag&drop to native folders, here we are talking about non-native ones, which are widgets. |

Better folders, which support drag & drop: is that even possible? @Chance I might think about that |

Better folders, which support drag & drop: is that even possible? @Chance: mostly how it looks, also how it doesn't apparently allow me to rearrange the icons inside, and how it doesn't close itself when I launch an item inside it. |

How-to unlink the main Google account from android device without a factory reset @AlEverett: a factory reset wipes your data, and if you have no way to backup it than I wouldn't call it "a good thing". |

Wrong label color in gmail 2.3.3 @MatthewRead: also tried creating another new flag, first it had an arbitrary color, then reverted to the default "gray/no color" |

“sendmsg: Connection refused” trying to root a Nexus One Ok thanks, looks like it's really hopeless: can't be rooted without wiping. |

“sendmsg: Connection refused” trying to root a Nexus One @eldarerathis: that guide is very much confused, it takes many things as granted, and after all it's not even a guide, it's just one guy having a problem on a forum. Isn't there something better written? |

How to change google account without wiping? Incorrect, Titanium Backup does pretty much nothing useful if you're not rooted, that's the problem. It certainly doesn't backup application data, which is the whole problem. |

USB storage crashing copying files >8MB @GAThrawn: copying directly from a card reader works, so it's not an SD card problem. |
