I've been programming professionally in C#, ASP.NET, Perl, JavaScript and VB6 (!!!) since 2003. Emacs and FireFox are my preferred environments. After that, I like to throw wikis at problems to make them go away. And if they don't go away, at least we've got the page revisions under version control!
You know what they say about bad code? It's anything YOU wrote, or anything I wrote more than 6 weeks ago.

How do I find a list of open applications / switch to open applications And the list of apps isn't always accurate; when I access gmail from the notication bar, switch to another app, and bring up recent apps to go back to gmail.... it's not there. Aaaaargh! I can't believe I actually think something from WinXP works better! |

how to force the phone not to use wi-fi to upload video to youtube? If the WiFi connection is turned off when the app starts up, there is no WiFi connection to be detected when the app is running. If there is no WiFi connection, WiFi cannot be used for uploading. Or for anything else. |

How do I get my rooted Incredible to install the latest Verizon update? Yes, it's the stock ROM. I rooted so I could take screenshots, basically. And so I could say I rooted my phone. !!! Srsly, have to re-install the ROMs for all of this? Ouch. |
