How do I upgrade firmware on my Samsung Galaxy S without using windows? @imz - Sure! Old post you responded to :) You have to open Odin and in the PDA box, chose the recovery.tar.md5 file. How can I boost the volume on my Droid's speaker? Ah ok - i was googling and the issue with Droid X showed up, so i just guessed :) The only way to do this would be rooting your phone, and playing with the system files then. It is possible, though. |

How can I boost the volume on my Droid's speaker? Some vendors use the UI to control the max volume. A tool like this would be able to bypass it. Boosting volume beyond what the Android API allows, would require rooting your device. Edit: From some googling i can see that the Droid X has volume issues on the speaker confirmed by Motorola, they where working on a fix in august. Have you tried updating your device? |
