I mostly live in the Sci-Fi, Gaming & Cartoon world, but -- at night -- I secretly masquerade as someone who pretends to know Arduino, Linux, Java & jQuery.

How does freezing an app work technically? @NoBugs Reboot your device. Some devices need this to completely disable an app. And yes, this isn't kill command. |

What's the purpose of “Emergency Call” button on SIM unlock screen? I am specifically talking about locked SIM. AFAIK, when SIM is locked with PIN1, it can't even detect a network. |

Home button or back button to leave an app? @Torben Example: Let's say there's a torrent download client following standard behavior. If you want to stop the download (to save battery and/or internet congestion), use Back button. And, if you want the app to continue the downloading while you read an ebook or surf the web, use Home button. Its not that hard to understand (think about multitasking of PCs). |

Home button or back button to leave an app? @Torben You can use Back button to exit the app if current session isn't important to you. If you just want to pause the session or you want to run app in background while using another app, use Home button. |
