comment Bug report and Settings crash on Nexus 4
Did you wipe the data and cache when flashing? What ROM were you coming from before you flashed KitKat 4.4.4?

comment How do I smite this unknown vampire process that is sucking the blood out of my battery?
Since the icon represented by Unknown seems to indicate a system app of some sort. Are you rooted? Have you checked this Q&A? Or use Better Battery Stats to determine the culprit?

comment How to check what's wrong while my phone starts? How to get logs?
What version of android? What was the last app you installed prior to the issue? What was done to arrive at this point? Can you go into Recovery? Did you install a incompatible kernel? A lot of vital information left out, thus making this question too broad to answer. Perhaps, re-edit your question to include the above answers to my questions in order to narrow it down specifically.

comment ART makes facebook app non installable
Have you considered the possibility that the facebook app is not compatible with the ART runtime? Some apps may work straight out of Playstore with ART, others don't. ART is not yet ready for prime-time!

ICS is Ice Cream Sandwich, aka CyanogenMod 10. Heimdall/Odin are flashing tools geared towards Samsung devices.

Wait... why 2G network... care to elaborate what reason is there to use 2G, when 3G is the norm?

comment What does leaving your device off for a while do?
The question is too broad in that there is no right or wrong answer and is subjective, to each and to their own opinions.

for 1) static discharge. What is your point of asking the question - you have troubleshooted a PC?... same thing applies.

comment What does leaving your device off for a while do?
Have you switched off your computer for a while? The point am making is to ensure 1) memory will not hold residue after a period of time and 2) in context of smartphone/devices, to de-register the sim card from the network as in not actively scanning...

You obviously do not understand winit.exe or java.exe and brazenly label them as viruses I really do not know where you got this from as your answer is implying a completely lack of ignorance and knowledge on your part, and spreading FUD. Which is why your answer got downvoted !

comment Which engine does the stock Samsung browser use?
Webkit is de-facto engine in AOSP, having said that, Google are keen to drop webkit soon enough now that Blink is 1 year old...

comment How to record my calls on Nexus 4 with Android 4.4.2?
Rooting the phone will make no difference to voice recording incoming/outgoing calls as that is walled off from the proprietary telephony chipset used and hence no one has actually done that for that very simple reason. And to record the other end is totally grey area, the person would have to give you consent to do so, IANAL but broach this carefully.

Also, this caught my eye - Groovy in particular this, and I quote Currently, Groovy is not able to run properly on Google's Android mobile platform out of the box.

comment dexopt produces a segmentation fault preventing boot-up
Ahhhh..... I suspected that! Did you not consider that somewhere in your code is faulty... ? Did you check around for support/bug tracking on groovy itself? This is bordering on off-topic now that the headline of the question was bit sensationalised when it turns out your app is causing dexopt to throw a wobbler. Looking at our sister site StackOverflow on the topic of Groovy, it is best you get in touch with groovy contributors to find out why!

One or two questions - what version of Android, also you mentioned you built an application, is this your application groovy/ui/OutputTransforms$ObjectHolder_localTransforms; or part of one of your classes?
