How to use GPRS (not wifi or 3G) to get internet access? I am using Android 2.1, and can't find 'Use packet data'. There is a setting 'use only 2G networks' though. However, I still have no idea how to configure the phone to use GPRS when using e.g. a browser (my contract hasn't changed). |

Which apps are affected by the SYNC icon in Power Control Bar? Thanks. Indeed, auto-sync seems to be the right name. The list confirms that it is only my google account that is influenced by this setting (unfortunately, as it would make sense for other apps to use the auto-sync on/off setting as well) |

Cool Android features and hidden tips and tricks? @Lie: yes I was hesitating posting this question for the same reason you mention (too broad). However, I would find such a question (the answers actually) useful, so that's why I eventually did. Besides, other stackexchange sites have such questions as well, and seem to be quite popular. Turning it into a wiki is perfectly fine for me, but I don't think I have enough privileges to do so |
