I'm the geeky looking guy on the right in the picture that's married to the good looking woman on the left in the picture.

Is it possible to update the Android platform my phone runs on? As I said, I was initially going off the SDK release of 2.3.4. So, yes, it might be beneficial to upgrade to 5., .6, or .7 for the minor bug fixes to the OS if you own one of the Nexus phones. All the press releases I've read about .5 and .6 talk about how it is only for the Nexus and fixes bugs found only on that phone. (CM 7.1 includes the 2.3.7 update because of the NFC features.) Hence why the SDK remains at 2.3.4. However, I feel the discussion of Gingerbread minor version releases is overwhelmed by the release of 4.0. The discussion isn't, mute, mind you. Just eclipsed. |

Is it possible to update the Android platform my phone runs on? I was going off of the SDK version listed at the Android developer site. 2.3.4 is the highest available version that a developer can program for. The 2.3.7 update is only for phones that support Near Field Communication (NFC). At this moment in time, the Nexus line is the only line that supports NFC. Also, since 2.3.7 is for Google Wallet, it is a closed SDK only for the companies involved in Google Wallet (like Citi). |

Is it possible to update the Android platform my phone runs on? Actually, version 2.3.4 is the latest version. Version 3.0+ is for tablets and version 4.0 has not been released yet. |

Simple To-Do widget that syncs between phones I love Wunderlist but, like you said, the widget is seriously lacking. Do-It Tomorrow has a really nice looking widget but though the app is free, the widgets cost so I won't recommend that as an answer. |

Windows laptop works with Wi-Fi AP, phone claims it is connected but can't access Internet What kind of security is on the network? WEP? WPA? It almost sounds like the network is using Mac address filtering. |

Where are my Google Listen podcasts Since it is only my opinion and not part of my answer, I will add it here. I personally use Pocket Casts from Shifty Jelly. It is a paid app but it is worth the small price, IMHO. =) |

Is there a Wi-Fi-only mode? I don't have a Droid Bionic but according to the article I linked to, the WiFi is untouched by the airplane mode. It is that way on my HTC Glacier. |

How can I update my Desire S from Android 2.3.3 to Android 2.3.4? Updates are usually mandated by your carrier. What carrier do you have? |

Why aren't there notifications for updates to built-in applications? Since it is a built in app, I don't know. Hard to say since the autoupdating option is inside the Market Place. My Gmail app doesn't show up in the Market Place. Good question. Hope someone provides an answer. |
