comment How to change device name used by Google Chrome?
Since there is no unified Stack Exchange site for mobile devices (and setting the Windows/OS X/Linux Computer name is quite easy), I'd say it's fine here. In fact, Android.SE is quite easily discoverable. But if you want you can post the same question on the Apple site for iOS?

No. You were literally asking how to change the name for your Android device which makes the question purely about your Android device. Since that's where the name comes from. If you wanted to have the question about changing your computer's name, it would of course have been on topic for Super User. But it wasn't.

It is about renaming your Android device as listed in Chrome. If you wanted to know about Chrome in general, that would've been fine for Super User, but it wasn't clear from your question.

You'd have to rename your Android device.

comment Can't create files on Galaxy SIII via USB
We'd prefer not to have to install third party software to make a simple file transfer possible, especially of the Kies sort. Maybe if there was something more lightweight, but I'm wondering why that wouldn't be possible out of the box? I remember my old Android phones with an SD card allowed me to just write files on it.

Per developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html Android only supports Baseline H.264. Why it creates High Profile video in the first place baffles me though.

You might want to add information about what device you're using, what Android version and which browser.
