Linux ADB Driver for LG Viper (LG-LS840) It looks like someone needs to add that ID to the list that counts as a phone. You should be able to do this yourself if you can recompile your kernel. |

Can I force a message to be sent as an MMS? Promote that comment to an answer - a subject forces MMS. It's a silly workaround, but it could be done automatically with a replacement messaging application. |

Does a carrier know I am tethering via Wifi Hotspot? The reason iPhone users were so easily found out is that the iPhone would use a different APN for tethering vs its own data connection. Android phones do not do this. |

Unrooting Galaxy Nexus - dies when plugged in You can use an alternative market (say, F-Droid) without Google Play installed. OP will just have to allow unknown sources. |

Are there any risks to rooting a device? It's not permanently broken - my BIL has a Droid 2 Global that boots to the bootloader. You can flash from there. Good luck if your battery dies, though - you can't charge in the bootloader. |

How can I root my Samsung Galaxy S3? Should I defer the system update? I would recommend Heimdall over Odin. |

Will flashing a custom ROM on my Galaxy Nexus device wipe my data? You will not lose your SD card partition with a normal wipe (on Nexus S, I have no reason to assume CWM would change that much for GNex). It would be silly because it would nuke the backup you just made. |

How to add root permission to some app by myself? I will assume setting the setuid bit is not possible. Android isn't all that much like Linux. :) |

“Charging paused. Voltage too high” on Samsung Galaxy S2 after upgrading to ICS I'd recommend Heimdall instead of Odin - Odin is leaked software and Heimdall (it's Free Software clone) is available in source code form. |

Will an Asus Transformer Prime bought in the U.S. work in Portugal? OP may be able to set the region to change the wifi channels allowed, but YMMV on this one... |
