I am a skilled software engineer who has shipped on every major mobile platform and written server software for both in house servers and cloud. I graduated with honors in Chemical Biology and Computer Science from a top engineering school, Stevens Institute of Technology, and followed that up with a Masters in Software Engineering.

I recently received a commendable rating working with HTC for over a year getting the world's top companies running on mobile platforms with amazing user experiences. Before that I worked for several years at IBM doing web metrics, a couple years at State University of New York writing Java server code and web pages, and a couple years doing freelance mobile development.

A highlight of my career was implementing the CardioTrainer Pro app with several other engineers, which became the top revenue generating add-on for that company's million download free app. I've also put extensive time into writing solutions involving photo capture, upload, and storage; NFC; gaming, monetization, social, and powerful graphics languages like OpenGL ES.

Specialties:• Shipped apps on Android, Windows Phone, and iOS mobile platforms. • Shipped server code on Linux, Windows IIS, Google AppEngine. • Skilled at C#, Java/JEE, JavaScript, SQL, (X)HTML, XML, XSLT and other languages.

comment How to gain S-OFF on HTC Salsa
1) Nothing will increase the physical amount of memory. 2) Most methods to deal with lack of memory in a certain partition only require root or custom ROMs (app2SD, etc.) so work fine with HTC unlock. 3) Are you talking about some sort of bizarre repartitioning process?

comment Deactivated HTC Droid Incredible not installing apps
A lot of the newer Verizon phones actually do have SIM cards, since LTE is a GSM technology. Anyway, I use many devices without service with no problems with Android Market/Google Play. Sounds like the problem is something else. Maybe install a clean stock ROM on your device to fix any software issues.

comment How to extract SMSes from a non rooted device with a broken touchscreen?
Don't have any good ideas myself, I can help yours, though. 1) You don't need to be rooted to use "adb uninstall <package>". Use "adb shell pm list packages -f" to see what's installed, then use adb uninstall on the non-system stuff listed. 2) You also seem to be using adb pull wrong. It needs the full path. "adb pull /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/mmssms.db" run from your desktop, not run from adb shell. Although that DB may or may not be world readable. So the command may still fail. *) I guess I would write an app to pull the messages by API and run it from Eclipse.

comment HTC Sensation fastboot unknown device
Well, two tips I can give you. 1) Fast boot in the settings has nothing to do with fastboot for flashing. The settings one is for not fully rebooting the OS to speed restarts. 2) The driver for fastboot is different than the driver for ADB. If you install HTC Sync it should install both, however. Sometimes you have to remove conflicting drivers using usbdeview or other tool.

comment Is it possible to flash htc desire on linux (drivers concern)?
You do often need to setup permissions for ADB to work on Linux (or kill the ADB server and rerun as root), similar to here the format is different for different versions: developer.android.com/tools/device.html . I don't know about fastboot offhand. Although automated tools like that unrevoked thing looks often use both fastboot and adb as well even adb is just used to send the phone reboot commands.

comment Factory Reset Android Developer Phone without password
Power off phone (remove and replace battery, etc.), hold down volume down and power. Then for command line you run fastboot on computer. That shouldn't be needed, however. The boot menu on the phone usually offers factory reset right from the boot menu you'll be in...

comment sd card keeps getting unmounted when htc sensation is being charged
When you first plug into a computer you are often given a choice about how to connect to the computer. Charge only, mount as storage, etc.. You then also often have a choice of making your choice the default from then on. So the behavior you describe can occur when you have chose to mount the phone as storage for the computer by default whenever it is plugged in. You can change these settings in the phone settings.

comment HTC Desire HD with Nokia E52 IMEI
Hmm, it does seem to have the right specs and single SIM at least. Fakes are often dual SIM, and driver when you plug them in shows they are using a different, cheaper processor/chipset.

comment How to force browsers not to reload recently seen page after resume?
Yeah, just to paraphrase, this is unfortunately due to the Android OS decided it needs to free up memory being used by the Browser by stopping it from being open in the background. Someone may have written a browser app that saves the page data and reshows it, even if the app's activity has been killed, however. Good answer.

I know HTC's ICS has an option for Font Size as well, in Settings then Display. Yay for progress.
