A guy with a enormous passion for software. I've programmed in many languages, from assembler to SQL, including C/C++ and COBOL. I worked on various platforms, like Windows (Win32 API, MFC, WinForms and WPF), Linux (GNU libs) and even some mainframe (CICS and MVS -- by which I mean Roscoe and TSO, Changeman, etc.).

Are Samsung firmware updates regional? @MatthewRead, one last question: is it possible to break the "regional lock" on my Samsung Galaxy S2? Or all I can do is manually flash the latest firmware? |

Are Samsung firmware updates regional? Thanks again. So this means that if for some reason I find out that someone has a more recent update in the same region as mine, I can expect or at least have some hope that Kies will give me the update? |

How can I determine the latest released firmware for my Samsung device? Thanks! It's too bad Samsung doesn't have that kind of communication with its users. I hope that, as this market matures, the manufacturers get more smart about this kind of thing. |
