comment How can I re-enable my keyguard?
My new phone has this, but sadly that requires the PIN immediately after lock. I want the keyguard (swipe to unlock) after pressing the power button, and the PIN only after 5 minutes.

comment Why can't I access the files on my SD card?
I am not using a password unlock. I don't believe I ever was. I might have enabled that when I first got my phone, but I am using a pin unlock now and have been for as long as I can remember. I was using a pin unlock last time I was able to access the SD card files.

comment Zeroconf mDNS on Android?
Thanks, this was what I ended up doing -- I assigned a static DHCP mapping for the phone on my router, and then added that IP to my local DNS server. Solved the problem for me but it wouldn't necessarily solve it for others.
