With Google Now, can I ask for directions to one of my contacts? My alternative suggestion would be to look at Car Dashboard apps, which might not enable you to do it via voice, but could enable it in fewer clicks. Alternatives are: CarHome Ultra, InDrive: Custom Car Home. |

With Google Now, can I ask for directions to one of my contacts? You do have google now, and if you are on Samsung you have S Voice, plus there are other options on the market. With my accent I can normally get them to launch the navigate app without any problem, but I usually end up with the incorrect address due to my accent. |

Transfer everything to new phone? To add to Enigma's post - you would need to make sure that you have set up the google backup option - from home screen: menu - settings - Back up and reset. Make sure Back up my data and automatic restore is ticked. |

Could someone confirm the status of Google Gtalk App on Android? If you can find the apk for the Talk app, you can load it without having to root your phone, just make sure you enable the Unkown Sources option under the Application Setting. You could try a forum like XDA to see if anyone there can provide the Talk App. Sending it to your phone via e-mail or loading it onto the SD card. Click it from either and it should load fine. Just let them know which version of Android you are running as there are probably different versions of talk depending on the version of android. |

How to check update log for apps on the phone You are correct the latest version of the market no longer keeps last updated, so this would only apply to older versions of the market. Have confirmed this as updated to new version of the market today and see that is the case after updating some apps. |
