comment Web Browser roadmap for HTML5 features?
@GAThrawn: true but irrelevant to the OP's actual concern, which is when will "Browser" get HTML5 updates. The answer still is: probably never, as Google has switched to Chrome for the default browser going forward.

comment “fastboot -l devices” returns nothing
You might want to post your PATH, as you may not have edited it correctly. You can also try opening a command window and dragging the fastboot executable to it from Windows Explorer, which should expand out the full path to it, and then running it with "-l devices".

comment Web Browser roadmap for HTML5 features?
I'd disagree, Al Everett; it is a question about the Android OS - the browser - so I think it's relevant, even if it is slanted towards web application development. If the question was "When can I start viewing pages that use HTML5 features on my Android's browser", it would sound more topical but be essentially the same question.

"Rooting" does not mean formatting your phone. "Rooting" means getting access to functions on your phone that normally only your carrier or manufacturer has access to.

Really? None of mine respond to a ping - I was under the impression it had been left out, like a lot of other services. Is yours rooted with BusyBox? It might be coming from that.
