How can I share my files from mobile device to PC through wireless router? I'll edit my answer then, thanks for the testing. |

How can I share my files from mobile device to PC through wireless router? Really? None of mine respond to a ping - I was under the impression it had been left out, like a lot of other services. Is yours rooted with BusyBox? It might be coming from that. |

What is the difference between system memory and internal storage? @forums: the problem with XDA forum guides is that they are often geared at a higher level than the average noob, and assume background knowledge that might not be present. I'm no noob, and I've found them confusing myself. Plus there's often multiple guides posted, with different methods, and no way to discern which is the best/correct method between them for a more naive user. |

What is the difference between system memory and internal storage? Ah. There is an app called App2SD, which is what I assume you were referring to. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use that term for Android's built in app manager's feature before. |

What is the difference between system memory and internal storage? Ryan is correct - I've done something similar on my old G1 to increase system memory enough to install Froyo, and it is not a simple task even for an experienced user. |

What is the difference between system memory and internal storage? @Izzy: that could easily break the app, though. Most modern versions of Android (Froyo on up) automatically install on SD card unless the app has to be installed in system memory. |

Why do some applications have `Move to SD card` button disabled? @geffchang: actually, the thread you pointed out as a dupe DOES have the answer as to why. Not quite a dupe, either, as in that question all the apps were forced to internal. |

Prerequisites of Installing New Launcher You can switch back and forth between them. Android should ask you every time which you want to use, until you set a preference permanently. Even then, you can go into the settings and switch it back (or just uninstall the downloaded launcher). |

How can I reset my phone without losing everything? You should post the relevant content of the article in case of link rot, rather than just the link |

How can I make direct phone-to-phone VoIP calls without Internet (on LAN or Wi-Fi)? BOTH links are peer to peer solutions, though the second one does make use of any local wireless LAN (which doesn't require an internet connection. And you can use SIP without a third party - it's just a protocol, like TCP/IP. |

How can I make direct phone-to-phone VoIP calls without Internet (on LAN or Wi-Fi)? How is "direct phone to phone communication over wifi or BT without an intermediary server or telco" going against the OP's req of "without having any intermediate server (SIP server) or an Internet connection", exactly? |

How can I sync my Outlook calendar with my Android phone calendar? No, I don't use OL on Linux - hence adding the "+TB" to my comment. It was just a comment, not an answer. Hence the comment :) It looks like a spiffy app though, hence my sadness that it's Windows only. |

Is it possible to have the same apps from the same amazon account on 2 different devices? What exactly is the message that you're getting? I doubt that it's "Not possible". I know I have three devices hooked up to my account, and they work... |

How can I transfer files from PC to Phone or vice versa without internet If you know networking at all, in my opinion for simple filesharing using a small app Samba can't be beat: play.google.com/store/apps/… |

Dual Booting a Windows 8 Tablet/Smartphone with Android OS? @Simon: if you follow the link in my post, it'll take you straight to their site. As the name implies, it supports regular PC architectures (ie, tablets) as opposed to ARM. |

How to remove apps from “all downloaded” in Play Store THAT'S new to me! Extremely unobvious though... it took me a bit before I saw the little outline of a circle with a line next to the app name on the right. I would have thought a trash can (like on play.google.com/apps) would be more intuitive - quite aside from making it nearly invisible! Light grey on white... sheesh! |

Getting a file to Samsung Galaxy Tab from my Laptop without Android? I've never been able to get Heimdall to work, but Odin definitely should do the trick. If you pass through the USB port to the VM it should work (at least, it does using VirtualBox on Ubuntu). |
