I am a computer engineer at Banque de France, where I work on XBRL. I have some experience in Java, and I'm moving to python.
On my spare time, I develop an Android application that uses a REST service to notify users about public transport disruptions.

How do I insert a non-breaking space with the Android OS Keyboard? The other difficulty is that the font must support it. It is the case for Droid Sans and Droid Serif, but others font may not implement it. |

How to format /storage/sdcard0 in ext4 @Izzy Good point. I am mostly MacOS and Windows, sometimes Linux. On Windows, I usually do not mount the USB but use MTP instead (because precisely, it avoids unmounting the SD card in Android) |

Is possible to make symbolic links in the android filesystem? (and how?) android is not a fileystem. What is the filesystem on which you try to create the symplink? You can use mount in terminal emulator to gather this information |

Is possible to make symbolic links in the android filesystem? (and how?) You're always free to format your SD Card with a modern filesystem (if you don't use it on an archaic operating system, of course) |

Can't exit airplane mode I am with the official ROM now. What unoffial 4.0 ROM is known to fix this? As for Jelly Beans, I have recently searched, and failed to find an unofficial ROM which more advanced than "beta" for 4.1. |

Can't exit airplane mode Correct me if I am wrong, but status New means nobody at Android thought it deserved to be *Open*ed. |

Can't exit airplane mode Thanks for your answer. However, the issue 22503 seems a bit different. My phone does not go to airplane mode itself. And the menu is not greyed. However comment #19 is very close from what I have |

Accounts disappearing on Samsung S3 I forgot to mention this was the paid app version. You're pointing to a bug that is likely to be the one I'm facing. Thanks a lot, I had no way to test this myself. I just couldn't reproduce on the emulator... |

Google play fails to install application with RPC:S-5:AEC-0 This is a really extreme solution. It certainly works, but is probably the thing to do if everything else failed |

What's the secret behind super durability of latest ADW Launcher EX? It would be interesting that you say what version of Android you run, because the task management policies can vary a lot on that front |

Preventing charging while USB debugging - One X I know many phones that complain the charger should be unplugged. I wonder why they don't have an electronic switch that takes care of this. |

How to download a Windows executable? I don't think it is specific to Samsung Galaxy S II: I have found this string in strings.xml in Android source code. |
