An Android, iOS and C# developer by day and a Linux enthusiast by night. I also enjoy web development (mostly Python), video games, chess, soccer, and voiding warranties.

I currently own an HTC EVO 4G, a Nexus 10, a Kindle Fire, and a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I run CyanogenMod on many of my devices, and occasinally build my own ROMs, too.

May 22	comment	How can I get wired tethering on the Galaxy Rush to a WinXP? @Izzy: I think that's the opposite direction; it sounds like the OP wants normal (phone => PC) USB tethering. Ian: Does your phone have settings for either of these built in? Both are supported since Android 2.2 (IIRC) but carriers sometimes disable/block them. Check `Settings -> Wireless & Networks` for any tethering options. On ICS or later it should be `Settings -> More...` under the wireless group at the top.

May 22	comment	simulate the android 2+ menu button on an android 4 tablet I don't think this is something you can do with an app. A custom ROM might work, but apps (to my knowledge) can't alter the menu bar on a system-wide basis. You'd either need a ROM that supports this as a configuration option (or a modified framework for your current version of Android, possibly) or you'd have to alter the original app to properly support newer Android versions, most likely.
