As it is currently stated, it seems to infer that the phone requires you to to input the key in order to decrypt the data, which is not true otherwise application would not be able to run in the background. The fact that the lock key is also used for encryption is an arbitrary limitation imposed by Google, technically they do not need to be the same and there are some workarounds allowing the user to use different keys for encryption and device locking. | |
