Android apkAPK installing method

I want to know how the apkAPK installing in mobileAndroid exactly for egworks. E.g. a downloaded apkAPK is installed when iI press install'install' but there is some process, right i? I want to know that.

Inside the apkAPK of the game called Mini Militia iI found there are three folders inside the assets folder: HD, HDR SD and the apkSD. The APK installs one of those according to phonethe phone's resolution maybe i, I don't know but i. I edited some files in the HD folder but my phone installinginstalls the files from HDR my. My mobile is oneplus one so i wannaa OnePlus One. I want to know if iI could change that !.
