I joined this community just about three years ago. Eventually, it became a dominating part of my on-line life.

Initially, this community for me was all about gaining reputation. Now , reputation doesn’t excite me . Along the way, I started contributing to the site . I got involved in exercising privileges accorded at various milestones and I am pleasantly surprised to see that I have ticked all the boxes - candidate score 40/40 . I am nominating myself as an additional step in this direction.

My approach to moderation is based on the fact that we are all volunteers here ; volunteers come with their own attitude and baggage - nudge and prod when required, use heavy guns only when really called for – in other words, low key moderation.

Caveat

Moderation calls for commitment of time and I am somewhat constrained by the amount of time I can spare, though current moderators have assured me, it's enough. If elected, will optimize with other mods to minimize impact. But this constraint needs to be stated and understood  .
