Simple, Gray gray means Connectionconnection error  (any how). In

In my case,

  1. Connect my pcPC & smartphone by a USB Cable.
  2. Under Setting>Tethering &mobile& Mobile Hotspot>USB TethringTethering check the radio button. That's it.

That's it.
