Jun 6, 2012 at 16:51 | comment | added | Bryan Denny♦ | @Dan You can do it either way. If you make a backup with Titanium, then it should save a copy of the APK that you can restore later. Similarly, you can use ADB PULL to pull the apk from the /data/ directory (/data/apps? I can't remember the name of it). Or you could use Root Explorer to find that directory on your device and look for the APK.
Jun 6, 2012 at 15:28 | comment | added | Dan | @Bryan: I do have root but don't know what you mean "Pull the APK"? Is this something I can do with titanium backup or do I need to connect it to the computer and use ADB?

Jun 5, 2012 at 18:02 | comment | added | Bryan Denny♦ | If you have root, it might be possible to pull the APK from the device, uninstall the market version, then re-install from the pulled version? I think that might be possible, but I would see if anyone has a better solution first.
