Xiaomi provides a tool for unlocking their phones called "Mi Unlock" but only runs on a Windows PC. I don't have Windows, so what are my options?

I only have access to Mac (both Intel and ARM64) and Linux.

Can Mi Unlock work on an emulator like VirtualBox? If so, what is the recommended Windows version?

Does anyone know if Xiaomi has a Linux source or binary of the Mi Unlock tool ?

Also, does anyone know why Android Platform Tools don't work? Why can't I just use command line "fastboot oem unlock", instead of their specific app ?don't have Windows.

BTW I already enabled USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking. I can get the device with fastboot devicesfastboot devices but almost no other fastboot command works.

Thank you in advance! So what are my options?
