Sony Xperia devices use micro USB 2.0 chargers, as do the vast majority of mobile devices currently in use. The follow a defined standard, and there's no requirement, or advantage, to using a charger from the same manufacturer as teh device. Also, most cell phones can draw as much current as the charger can deliver (up to the 2.1 A maximum), and I doubt any recent models top out at 850 mA. If he uses a 2.1 A charger, the device will charge faster, I'd put money on it. | |
