In an effort to resurrect my phone I have tried to sideload a number of things but always end up with one of three options. Oddly, although I "had" TWRP, the only thing I can get is Android System Recovery <3e>. Further, the only connectivity I have to the phone is adb sideload. Ubuntu sees the phone via lsusb but will not mount it. Any direction anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

  1. assert failed: run_program("/system/bin/loki.sh") == 0 E: Error in /tmp/update.zip (Status 7) Installation aborted.

  2. I tried a bumped recovery, but this time it errored with /tmp/panelfix.sh.

  3. Finding update package... Opening update package... Verifying update package... E: footer is wrong E: signature verification failed

  • In an effort to resurrect my phone Please add more information regarding this. Further, the only connectivity I have to the phone is adb sideload - Should it be considered that Modem isn't working too? Ubuntu sees the phone via lsusb but will not mount it.-- Are you trying MTP or USB_Storage. In fact, which Android version is this? – Firelord Mar 3 '15 at 19:38
  • What modi can you boot the device into (normal/recovery/fastboot)? What does "resurrect" mean, what's wrong with the device? What device is it, what Android version is it running? – Izzy Mar 3 '15 at 20:08
  • Its a LG G2 VS980 (i.e. Verizon). Resurrect means I am trying to bring it back to life. That is, it's bricked to some extent. The only mode it can get into is Android System Recovery <3e> which is odd because I had TWRP installed. From this point the only thing I can connect to is adb sideload. Any other effort such as attempting to access download mode simply results in a LG Logo ... reset loop. – Gospodinwizard Mar 3 '15 at 20:49
