I have a nexus 7 (2013 model) and its stuck on the Google logo. I went to the bootloader menu and unlocked the bootloader. Now I'm trying to install a recovery image, but:

After doing a 'fastboot flash recovery clockwork.img' I get the following error:

sending 'recovery' (11312 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.361s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: size too large)
finished. total time: 0.365s

If there is another way to unbrick it that would be good too, but right now I just want to reflash the rom image to an updated stock rom.

Download the factory image and just extract the tgz and you will find a flash-all file,

Reboot to bootloader and connect your phone then just double click on the .bat file if you an Windows user or .sh if you a Mac or Linux user then follow the instructions!

To get it out of the bootloop try to hold the volume down button + the power button. If that doesn't work after holding it try doing the same while adding the power up button.

As for your problem I would suggest trying again. If that doesn't work make sure your fastboot is up to date.
