I cannot remove the lock screen on my P8 lite.

I go to Settings > Screen Lock & Passwords > Password. There, I can only choose Pattern, PIN or Password, but I cannot tap on None. Under that, is this: Disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage.

What does it mean, and what should I do?

I have same problem and nothing worked, including clear credentials. Only thing that I didn't try is set pattern lock + extra PIN and then provide wrong pattern 5 time. On other topic they say that is working. Here is the link.

  • I finally do the thing with wrong pattern + backup PIN and it worked. The option None in Screenlock& Password is still "grey", but there is no more any kind screen lock. – jeannetheboog Nov 2 '16 at 7:50
  • Does someone know why the None option is disabled after choosing PIN, and why this works? forums.androidcentral.com/huawei-p8/… – Gulbahar Dec 16 '16 at 18:18

Wrong pattern didnt work for me, but changing theme did, I just change theme and lockscreen went back to slide to unlock

The same thing happened to me.

Try disabling all of your Device Administrators (usually on Settings > Security > Device Administrators), or disable them one by one to find out what Device Administrator is causing that problem.
