Screen capture of my battery usage shown below.

Clicking on the process gives no further information about it unfortunately.

  • Looks like malware related process. Check what app/service that may have started it. Check cached process too. (Settings > App/Applications manager > Running) – esQmo_ Dec 2 '16 at 3:07
  • That's obviously what I'm suspicious of. It survived a restart, which is strange. It's a Sony Xperia, and I can't seem to find a more detailed app manager than the one brought up by the bottom right home button. – Beth Skurrie Dec 4 '16 at 21:25
  • Go to Settings > Apps and browse to running apps. I don't own an Xberry so the steps may be different. Just head to apps list a choose running apps. You may be able to find what to app it belongs. – esQmo_ Dec 4 '16 at 21:41
  • I know the menu you mean, because my Samsung Galaxy had it. The Sony Xperia doesn't unfortunately. Really, I just need to do some googling and learn how to bring up a terminal and work out what the process exploration commands are. I was just being lazy and hoping there was an easy answer out there. Thanks for your suggestions. – Beth Skurrie Dec 5 '16 at 22:55
