I'm using a Lenovo K3 Note running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. I want to turn off the camera shutter sound.

How to do it?

  • Try checking camera settings if there's an option to disable it – Rahul Gopi Mar 23 '17 at 9:00
  • no option is there – user3386779 Mar 23 '17 at 9:05

Turn on the DND while using camera. This will turn off the shutter sound.

  • DND is Do Not Disturb mode, this url describes how to set DND: howtogeek.com/260225/… (DND ignores all notifications—calls, texts, calendar events, etc.—for the allotted amount of time) – Rahul Gopi Mar 23 '17 at 9:33
  • Turn off the DND when done using camera. – Chandrani Chatterjee Mar 23 '17 at 10:10

Another user from the Lenovo forum: How to disable camera shutter sound on the Lenovo K3 Note? claims to have turned off camera sound by using this proceedure:

  • Turn on your camera
  • Go to Settings
  • Click on the 3 dots to pull up further options
