My dad is having issues with his phone. He states there is a keyboard that he doesn't recognize showing up when trying to type.

I attach a picture of the keyboard.

Do you know what is this coming from, and how can I solve it?

  • Settings -> Language & Input -> under Keyboards and input methods, tell us which one is selected as default. Change it to your preferred one and let us the know the result. – Firelord Aug 11 '17 at 19:13
  • just try to install and use another keyboard – Rahul Gopi Aug 12 '17 at 3:07
  • I had also suffered from strange keyboard issues. Random subsets of the letters were turning upper case (qwerty). Also keying in the next character suddenly deleted the current word (reproducibly in the sense that retrying would result in the word getting deleted at the same spot). Restarting may have helped. Keeping my fingers crossed. – Jyrki Lahtonen Sep 24 '18 at 16:13
